Chiropractic Care

We provide advanced spinal correction utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, the doctors at Lakewood Chiropractic have years of training and experience in spinal adjustment. With techniques including Arthrostim, Cox-Flexion, Diversified, Leander, SOT.

We provide acupuncture services using Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques. Dr. Dukes, Dr. Wilbert and Dr. Sagerty have all completed additional training in the field of chiropractic acupuncture and have helped many patients through the use of this ancient technique. Acupuncture is recognized by the World Health Organization as well as the National Institute of Health as a technique that is effective in treating over 2,000 medical conditions. Our doctors use sterile, single - use needles as well as non-needle techniques depending on the patient and condition being treated.

.Spinal Decompression

We offer spinal decompression in order to address both acute and chronic vertebral disc disorders. This gentle, relaxing treatment has helped many low back pain sufferers and may be an appropriate option for you or a loved one.

Spinal decompression is indicated in the following conditions:

  • Herniated or bulging disc
  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Posterior Facet syndrome
  • Sciatica
  • Post-surgical patients
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Non-specified mechanical low back or neck pain

Some conditions do not allow for the option to perform spinal decompression. Unfortunately, a patient may not be a candidate for this treatment in the following circumstances:

  • Instabilities of the spine, such as recent fractures
  • Bilateral pars defects
  • Unstable spondylolisthesis (typically grade 2 and above)
  • Gross osteoporosis
  • Cancers or tumors of the spine
  • Surgical hardware fixation in the region of the spine being targeted
  • Pregnancy
  • Patients under the age of 15

The doctors at Lakewood Chiropractic can help you decide if spinal decompression is right for you. Call today to schedule a time to talk with one of our experienced Doctors and find out if you could benefit from this type of treatment.

Corrective Exercises

We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction by as much as 30-40%. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.
